Ruya Platform Project

The student (Malak Hussein Abd) participated in the third stage / Department of Laser Engineering and Optoelectronics in the Ruya platform project (electronic career guide) and the Technological University team was awarded first place in the (Maharat-Tech) competition, where the Ruya team worked with a group of students and under the supervision of Mr. Hussein Ali Al-Kahja Ji, head of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division, to collect and analyze data on the number of students in each university department, the number of students in the final stage, and the number of students who withdrew and changed their university specialization. Emphasis was placed on important factors for choosing a scientific department such as popularity of the major, parental imposition, or lack of awareness of other majors.
Through the study, a set of issues faced by the student and the university as a result of choosing the wrong major were identified, such as the presence of vacant seats, administrative pressure on staff, instability in some departments, poor student performance or withdrawal, loss of time, effort and resources, and overcrowding of graduates in some majors.
The solution was presented through the “Vision” website, by designing an interactive digital environment to provide solutions for students.
