The Department of Laser Engineering and Optoelectronics held an awareness lecture delivered by Assistant Lecturer (Esraa Bashir Muhammad) – Planning Unit Officer, entitled (Ignorance of the Dangers of Drug Use) on Wednesday, 19/3/2025, in the department hall.
The ignorance of university students about the dangers of drug use is one of the most prominent reasons that may lead them to fall into addiction, without realizing the serious consequences on their physical and psychological health. Many of them may be tempted to experiment out of curiosity or peer pressure, without realizing the damage that may destroy their academic and professional future. It is necessary to enhance awareness within universities to educate students about these risks and provide appropriate support for those who face challenges in this aspect, and the students of the first stage / evening study interacted with the awareness lecture, which had a positive impact on the students.
