An Online Workshop Titled ( Virtual Reality )

The Graduate Follow-Up Unit in the Department of Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering conducted an online workshop titled “Virtual Reality” at 8:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024, via the Google Meet platform. The workshop was delivered by the unit’s head, Dr. Taif Aied Faisal

The workshop covered virtual reality (VR), methods for creating virtual content, and the distinction between virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). Techniques for developing VR content using the Unity platform were explained, showcasing its applications in creating VR-specific applications.

Additionally, the workshop addressed visualization techniques, including 180-degree and 360-degree virtual imaging, and how to interpret the technical details of VR headsets. Key applications and use cases of VR technology in various fields were also highlighted.

At the end of the workshop, participants engaged in a Q&A session, which provided valuable insights and practical knowledge.
