About the Division

The Scientific Affairs Division is one of the core pillars of academic departments, playing a vital role in organizing and developing scientific and research activities within the department. The division oversees the planning and development of curricula in alignment with global academic standards, in addition to supporting and organizing research activities for faculty members and students.

The division strives to promote scientific excellence by organizing conferences, scientific seminars, and training workshops, as well as managing funded research projects and supervising the publication of research in peer-reviewed journals. It is also dedicated to enhancing the skills of faculty and students by providing training opportunities, facilitating conference attendance, and fostering collaboration with universities and research institutions.

Furthermore, the division focuses on accurately documenting scientific activities and preparing annual reports that highlight the department’s achievements, while actively working to improve the department’s academic ranking locally and internationally. Serving as a bridge between the department and the scientific community, the division effectively contributes to creating a distinguished educational and research environment that fosters innovation and creativity.

Division Activities

The activities of the Scientific Affairs Division in academic departments are diverse, encompassing academic planning and organization, where annual semester plans are prepared, curricula are developed in coordination with other departments, and course implementation is monitored. The division also manages scientific research by supporting faculty research activities, organizing conferences and scientific seminars, facilitating the publication of research in peer-reviewed journals, and following up on funded research projects. Student-related scientific activities include supporting graduation projects, organizing workshops, and hosting scientific competitions.

The division contributes to the professional development of academics through workshops, academic development programs, and participation in conferences. Additionally, it fosters collaboration with universities and research institutions by establishing scientific partnerships and joint training programs. It supervises the documentation of scientific activities by preparing annual reports, archiving departmental achievements, and monitoring the department’s academic ranking.
